The 2nd Asia-Pacific Enzyme Technology Symposium Held in Vietnam
Amano Enzyme Inc. co-hosted “The 2nd Asia-Pacific Enzyme Technology Symposium” with VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) and Vietnam Association of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (VABMB) on October 25, 2024, in Vietnam.
The symposium featured 13 speakers from seven countries including Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines. More than 200 experts and researchers participated in dynamic discussions on the latest research findings in enzyme technology, life sciences, and biotechnology. Distinguished guests including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Bao Son, Vice President of Vietnam National University (VNU), Prof. Dr. Habil. Vu Hoang Linh, Rector of VNU-HUS, and Mr. Isamu Ishikawa, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, attended the event. The symposium also included a poster session where students presented their research, followed by an awards ceremony.
In July of this year, our company signed a five-year memorandum of understanding with VNU-HUS to strengthen partnership in research, technology, and educational exchange, and this symposium marks the first step in this collaboration. As expectations for biotechnology and enzyme applications continue to grow in pursuit of a sustainable society and carbon neutrality, we will contribute to the development of industry-academia collaboration and enzyme technology in the Asia-Pacific region through this symposium.
